Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, officially opened its gates on Wednesday, marked by a ribbon‑cutting ceremony attended by families and local groups such as the Cub Scouts and the Boys and Girls Club of Frisco. The park is designed for children aged three to eight, offering water rides, kid‑friendly roller coasters, splash pads, and themed play areas. The same day the resort’s 300‑room hotel welcomed its first guests, and the on‑site lodging provides early admission for visitors staying overnight.
Seven character lands—featuring Minions, Trolls, SpongeBob, Shrek and Jurassic Park—each house play parks, sensory gardens, adventure camps, and arcades. The venue also supplies splash pads and shaded rest areas. Children two years old and younger may enter free of charge. The park sold out for Friday through the July 4 weekend, leaving only a few tickets available for later in the week.
Single‑day tickets start at $55, while a two‑day pass costs $74; annual passes, VIP experiences and group rates are also offered. Standard parking is $20 per vehicle and premium parking is $30. The resort sits just off the Dallas North Tollway in North Frisco.
Park officials advise guests to stay hydrated, use shaded decks and the indoor air‑conditioning. Visiting hours run from 10 a.m. to 7–8 p.m., with early entry granted to guests lodging at the hotel. Local residents reported high enthusiasm for the new summer destination.
