Lionel Richie Halts Performance Early Due to Dizziness
Lionel Richie performed the opening night of his joint tour with Earth, Wind & Fire at the Grand Casino Arena in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The show marked the first stop of the “Sing A Song All Night Long” tour.
During the performance Richie began a rendition of “Dancing on the Ceiling,” sitting on stage and later stepping aside before returning to his seat while continuing to sing. Observers noted that he appeared dizzy during the set.
A fellow performer entered the stage to announce that Richie’s concert would not continue. The announcement thanked attendees and wished them a safe journey home.
Earlier in the evening, Richie posted rehearsal and sound‑check photographs on Instagram, labeling the activity as “opening night” and confirming the Saint Paul venue. No formal comment has been released by his management team.
The tour is scheduled to resume in Chicago on Friday.
