Taylor Swift and Randy Newman Sing Together at Toy Story 5 Launch
The premiere of Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5” took place in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. The event included a post‑screening celebration where Taylor Swift performed the original song “I Knew It, I Knew You,” which is on the film’s soundtrack. Swift, a long‑time fan of the franchise, received applause and spoke briefly about her excitement to contribute to the project.
During the celebration, singer‑songwriter Randy Newman joined Swift for an impromptu duet. Newman began a solo rendition of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” on the piano. Swift then entered the stage midway, trading lines with Newman and harmonizing on the song’s familiar chorus. The performance drew a strong response from the audience.
Earlier in the evening, Swift appeared on the red carpet alongside “Toy Story” voice actors Tom Hanks, Joan Cusack, and others, emphasizing her enthusiasm for the series. The film is scheduled for theatrical release by Walt Disney’s Pixar Animation Studios on June 19.
