Miami-Dade Schools Provide Free Summer Meals to All Students

Miami‑Dade County Public Schools will provide free breakfast and lunch to students during the summer through the Florida Summer BreakSpot program. The service will run from June 8 to July 31 at 170 district schools, covering children and teens up to 18 years old.

No income verification, application, or registration is required for eligibility. Unlike previous seasons, meals must be consumed on the school premises; grab‑and‑go service is not available.

The program aims to ensure students have access to nutritious food while schools are closed for the summer. District officials urged parents and guardians to use the service to support healthy eating during the break.

Families can locate participating schools and obtain additional details by visiting SummerBreakSpot.org.
