Baker sets fire to birthday cake for customer’s cheating boyfriend – NBC 6 South Florida

Woman ignites birthday cake while confronting partner’s infidelity.

A baker in the New Orleans area filmed a cake on fire after a client requested the act as a reaction to a cheating boyfriend. The baker, identified as Julie Fradella of The Sweet Hustle, posted the video on Instagram on May 6. The cake, described as almond‑flavored and sized for 75 people, was originally ordered in December for a “sneaker ball” party designed by the boyfriend. The client paid $600 for the cake but later offered an additional $100 for its destruction.

Fradella confirmed the client’s story and performed the burning at a backyard location, after checking details and obtaining the client’s verbal consent. The video shows the cake incinerating, with frosting blackening and printed lettering melting. Fradella later disposed of the ash in a dumpster.

The post received several hundred thousand views and comments praising the visual. Fradella has not received direct feedback from the client; she reports that the incident attracted new business, including a wedding request scheduled for July. No legal actions have been reported.
