Kodak Black arrested in Orange County – NBC 6 South Florida

Orange County police detain Kodak Black in recent arrest.

Rapper Bill Kapri, known professionally as Kodak Black, was detained in Orlando, Florida, on Wednesday for a drug trafficking charge. The arrest followed a police response to a reported shooting in a residential area, where officers found a Lamborghini SUV. While searching the vehicle, officers discovered a pink bag containing a plastic bag of MDMA, $37,000, and documents listing Kapri’s name. The bag and a distinct lighter matched items in a photo posted by Kapri on Instagram.

Kapri, 28, was booked into the Orange County Jail on a charge of trafficking more than 10 grams and less than 200 grams of MDMA. The alleged incident is linked to an event that occurred in November, according to his attorney. His legal team argued that no fingerprints linked him to the seized items and requested a bond of $10,000, citing his lack of prior Orlando ties. Prosecutors countered, citing his career as a rapper and multiple previous felony convictions, and requested a higher bond.

The judge set a $75,000 bond, allowing Kapri to waive a future in‑person arraignment. He was ordered to refrain from contacting co‑defendants and witnesses, except for family and security personnel. The case remains pending.
