Driver charged after fatal 2024 collision kills three Palm Beach police officers

A 32‑year‑old woman was arrested on Thursday in Palm Beach County after a November 21, 2024 crash that killed three sheriff’s office deputies.
The victims—Corporal Luis Paez Jr., Deputy Ignacio “Dan” Diaz, and Deputy Ralph “Butch” Waller—were on duty when they pulled over on Southern Boulevard near Lion Country Safari to wait for assistance. An SUV then struck the motorcycles, sending the officers airborne.

State Attorney Alexcia Cox announced that Corrinne Adrianna Blue faces three counts of vehicular homicide. Her Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling eastbound in the center lane at speeds above the posted 55 mph limit and made an unsafe pass, according to Florida Highway Patrol investigators. Blue sustained only minor injuries, and preliminary evidence does not indicate impairment.

Blue is being held without bond at the Palm Beach County Main Jail. The case will be processed by the State Attorney’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit.
The incident drew official statements from Sheriff Ric Bradshaw, who confirmed the deputies’ service before the crash, and from Dave Kerner, executive director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, who supported the charges.
