A Los Angeles community member has confirmed that his sister, Christina Downer (also known as Christina Fowlie), was found dead four months after her disappearance. The claim came from Jimmy Fowlie, a writer for NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” who posted the news on Instagram on a Wednesday. He stated that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) had informed his family that the case had shifted from a missing‑person investigation to a homicide inquiry.
LAPD officials responded by saying that the Robbery‑Homicide Division is continuing to investigate Downer’s disappearance and that the case has not yet been reclassified as a homicide. The department emphasized it remains uncertain whether the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are suspicious but it has not declared a murder.
