Danny Pintauro Reveals Amazon Delivery Ride on Personal Venture
Former “Who’s the Boss?” actor Danny Pintauro, 50, revealed he is driving for Amazon Flex to support himself while continuing to audition for acting roles. He posted on Instagram that he delivered 38 packages in one day, noting the job’s flexible schedule lets him keep his focus on the entertainment industry.
Pintauro explained that the Hollywood landscape has changed dramatically since the 1980s, when about 100 pilot episodes were produced annually. Today, Los Angeles has seen a sharp decline in production days, falling from roughly 18,560 in 2021 to 7,716 in 2024. The shrinkage, he said, makes it harder for actors to find work.
He used the public platform to share that many former television stars, including himself, are taking non‑acting jobs, such as delivery driving, as a practical way to earn a living. Pintauro said the position keeps him out of the public eye while providing income and privacy.
In addition to driving, he has worked as an acting coach, taught classes, and built book nooks for a living. Pintauro, who is openly gay and living with HIV, remains optimistic that a new acting opportunity will arise. He urged others to remain patient and to view honest work as a normal part of a career resurgence.
