Metal Supermarkets launches new shop as rideshare services grow
Metal Supermarkets opened its Delray Beach location at 781 S Congress Ave, its 13th South Florida shop. The store sells more than 8,000 metal types in small quantities to manufacturers, hobbyists and businesses and is managed by franchisee Steve Waas and his wife Kathy.
The shop offers custom cutting, drilling, shearing with same‑day delivery and operates weekdays 8‑a.m. to 5‑p.m., being closed on weekends. The chain now operates 130 locations throughout the United States, Canada and the U.K.
Crate & Barrel opened a 7,200‑sq‑ft store at 589 S Rosemary Ave in West Palm Beach, its sixth Florida location. The space provides floral arrangements, an interior‑design desk and services for the hospitality trade.
Ride‑share platform Vlue expanded statewide to include Broward, Palm Beach, Hillsborough, Orange, Lee and Collier counties with more than 6,500 drivers. The service eschews surge pricing, permits scheduling rides for non‑registered contacts and offers higher driver wages.
Wynwood Dog Food Co. acquired a 13,000‑sq‑ft plant in Miami’s Allapattah neighborhood to quadruple production capacity starting in 2027. The company, founded in 2015, will increase staffing beyond its current 40 employees.
