Woman Threatens Man After Drive Crash, Demands $50 via Cash App

Police in Southwest Miami‑Dade made a 19‑year‑old woman, Olivia Rios‑Papillo, custody on Thursday evening for multiple criminal charges. The incident began around 5:10 p.m. when Rios‑Papillo’s vehicle collided with a victim’s car on Kendall Drive near Southwest 152nd Avenue. Troopers said an argument ensued after the crash, during which Rios‑Papillo allegedly demanded $50 from the victim’s passenger and threatened to shoot him if payment was not made.

The victim reportedly sent $50 via Cash App to the passenger to avoid harm. An account of the event was captured by the Tesla’s on‑board camera, providing evidence of the confrontation. Following the altercation, the vehicle was abandoned at a Ross Dress‑For‑Less store a few blocks away, where troopers found Rios‑Papillo and her passenger and spoke with them.

Rios‑Papillo denied using or threatening a firearm, claiming she only demanded payment because she blamed the victim for the crash. The arrest report lists charges of strong‑armed robbery, attempted evidence tampering, aggravated assault, driving without a valid license, and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage.

As of Friday morning, she is held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, with bond status pending.
