Miami Beach officials explore newly opened cancer treatment facility.
Miami Beach, Fla. – Mount Sinai Medical Center opened its new Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center on Alton Road during a government‑leader tour on Sunday. The facility combines advanced imaging, surgical suites, radiation therapy, and medical oncology, while also offering clinical research and precision‑medicine programs under one roof.
The center aims to extend comprehensive cancer care to South Florida residents without requiring travel outside the area. Features include infusion floors with views of Biscayne Bay and multiple high‑tech treatment rooms. Artistically designed spaces are incorporated throughout the building.
Mount Sinai officials emphasized that the design prioritizes not only treatment but also long‑term recovery and survivorship support for patients. The opening reflects the hospital’s commitment to improving local access to cancer services.
