Fortnite to return purchase money for D4vd skins.
Fortnite has announced refunds for cosmetics purchased from the in‑game items associated with singer D4vd, known off‑stage as David Burke. The game’s official update channel posted that the refund option will become available on Tuesday, April 28, and that players who have already requested refunds through support will receive a payment.
This decision comes after Burke was arrested and charged with first‑degree murder in connection with the death of 14‑year‑old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Prosecutors say the girl’s remains were found in the trunk of a Tesla that was registered to Burke and later impounded near his Hollywood Hills residence.
Burke’s legal team has requested a preliminary hearing to take place next week; the court has scheduled a proceeding for May 1. No additional legal actions have been announced at this time.
