Venus Williams marries Andrea Preti in Florida
Venus Williams confirmed her marriage to Andrea Preti via a social media post on Tuesday.
The couple wed over a weekend in Palm Beach, Florida, as part of a five‑day celebration.
Preti, a Danish‑born Italian model and actor listed on IMDB, was present in the stands during the Washington DC Open.
Williams, 45, recently became the second‑oldest woman to win a tour‑level singles match in July and thanked Preti for attending the event. She had not competed in a tournament for 16 months, returning to play in Washington.
The Grand Slam champion plans to continue her professional career into a 33rd consecutive season, beginning the WTA Tour in Auckland in January.
