Developers Construct Unique Skyscraper in South Florida’s Growing Landscape
The Okan Tower, currently under construction in downtown Miami, is expected to become the state’s tallest building when it opens in 2027. The 70-story luxury skyscraper will stand at nearly 908 feet tall, surpassing the current tallest building, the 85-story Panorama Tower, which stands at 868 feet.
Construction on the Okan Tower began in 2022 and has reached the halfway mark. The project, developed by Turkish developer Okan Group, features a unique design with curves inspired by the tulip, Turkey’s national flower.
The Okan Tower will include a 294-key hotel, 236 condo-hotel units, and 163 residential condos, along with various amenities such as a rooftop pool, fitness center, and wellness spa. The tower is expected to open in the second quarter of 2027 and will offer 360-degree views of the city.
The developer has pre-sold 62% of the units, with prices starting at $1.25 million for condo residences and $750,000 for hotel-condo residences. The majority of buyers are from South America, with others from New York, Toronto, and Turkey.
The Okan Tower’s completion will mark a new milestone in Miami’s skyline, which is already home to many of the state’s tallest buildings. The city’s relatively lenient building height restrictions, capped at 1,049 feet by the Federal Aviation Administration, have contributed to the development of numerous high-rise projects in the area.
