Kata Hay Detained in Vehicle Fatality Investigation

Kata Huddleston, known on television as “Kata Hay,” was taken into custody in Osage County, Oklahoma, on December 17. Local authorities said she was being held for extradition to Tennessee, where she faces a fugitive‑from‑justice charge.

The Goodlettsville Police Department posted a notice on December 16, asking the public to identify Huddleston. The announcement listed outstanding warrants for vehicular homicide tied to a collision on Hollow Pike near I‑65 and described the suspect as traveling to Oklahoma with a white male and a large camper.

Polic investigators reported that tips received from the community helped locate Huddleston, who was arrested early on the following morning. Sources indicated that the arrest would facilitate her transfer back to Davidson County.

In December, Huddleston had been charged in Davidson County for a December 10 incident that involved a second‑offense DUI, leaving the scene with property damage over $1,500 and an open alcohol container. She is scheduled to appear in court on February 2 at 8:30 a.m.

Huddleston’s current case follows a 2022 conviction for unlawful sexual contact with a minor. The court sentenced her to six months in jail, ordered a mental‑health evaluation, and required participation in an intensive outpatient program.
