Miami Heat secure victory over Atlanta Hawks, ending slump

Miami Heat beat the Atlanta Hawks 126‑111 on Friday night at State Farm Arena. The win came despite the absence of Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, prompting Coach Erik Spoelstra to adjust the lineup. The new rotation carried the team.

Norman Powell scored 25 points, while Pelle Larsson added 21, Andrew Wiggins 18, Jaquez Jr. 16 and Kel’el Ware had 16 points with 13 rebounds. Hawks’ Trae Young made 30 and Jalen Johnson 24.

The score was tied 32‑32 after the first quarter; a 12‑0 run in the second lifted Miami to a 63‑51 halftime lead. They stayed ahead, reaching 90‑84 entering the fourth, and eventually won by 15 points.

Adebayo sat with a back injury and Herro missed a toe problem. Spoelstra said Adebayo’s status was day‑to‑day and gave no further explanation. Nikola Jovic returned after a four‑game elbow injury.

Miami improves to 21‑18; the Heat will face the Indiana Pacers at Kaseya Center Saturday. No further comments were made.
