Temperatures Drop Across Region, Bringing Refreshing Week Ahead Locally

Temperatures in South Florida have cooled down, with Fort Lauderdale experiencing 48 degrees and Palm Beach County seeing lows in the 40s on Tuesday morning.
The region can expect refreshingly cool overnight temperatures and pleasant daytime temperatures throughout the week.
Coastal areas will see evening lows of 61 on Tuesday and 65 through Thursday.

In the western suburbs, overnight lows will be slightly cooler, ranging from 55 on Tuesday to 60 through Thursday.
Days will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid to high 70s.
The cooler temperatures are a result of a cold air mass that moved in from Canada on Monday night.

The National Weather Service reports that changing winds will lead to warmer temperatures by the weekend.
Winds are expected to shift from the north-northwest to the north-northeast, bringing in warmer air from the Atlantic Ocean.
This change in wind direction will lead to a slight warming trend.

The weekend is expected to be mostly sunny with temperatures warming up, overnight lows in the high 60s, and daytime temperatures in the low 80s.
There will be slightly less wind during this time.
Residents and visitors can expect pleasant weather conditions throughout the region.
